
First Reconciliation
Children preparing to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation:
- This Sacrament is celebrated in February/March of Grade 2.
- Children must be enrolled in the Religious Education Program for one year prior to their second grade year. (First Grade)
- Proof of Baptism (Baptismal Certificate) must be turned in to the Religious Education Office during registration or before the Reconciliation Parent Meeting.
- Students must attend weekly classes.

Children preparing to celebrate First Communion.
- This Sacrament is celebrated in May of 3rd
- Students must attend weekly classes.
- Students must attend a First Communion Retreat.
- Students and their parents are expected to attend Mass regularly.
Liturgy of the Word for Children
In the Celebration of the Word, the children will arrive for Mass with their parents and join the assembly for the Introductory Rites. After the Opening Prayer, the children are dismissed to the church hall with the volunteers and catechists; there they will hear and discuss the Sunday Readings (which are adapted for children) and participate in song/activity. The children will rejoin their families after the Prayer of the Faithful for the celebration of the Eucharist.
